History of the Book Tote

Unlike many other Dior Silhouettes, the Dior Book Tote Bag was a more recent addition to the Brand. Introduced in the Spring/Summer 2018 collection the book tote was made a series of embroidered patterns. One of the patterns was Maria Grazia’s interpretation of the Toile De Joy Motif that was once on the walls of Mr. Dior’s first boutique at 30 Avenue Montaigne. The updated design was initially hand-drawn with pen and ink before they were printed or embroidered on several garments and accessories.
